Abstract

The advent of new strengthening technology using the Fibre-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) System has brought light to the way our infrastructures can be strengthened. Beyond the conventional methods, the FRP System is able to allow a fresh new breath of life with greater productivity and efficiency within the System. This paper will study into the benefits and the ways that it is able to help in the strengthening of bridges in comparison to conventional ways. The paper will also provide the background leading to the need for the strengthening of the bridges which holds great importance to the development of the country.
